Bai Qiuen (Chinese: 白裘恩) is the father of Bai Yuechu and a recurring supporting character in Fox Spirit Matchmaker. Throughout the donghua, he kidnaps his son in exchange for money, making it a running gag.
Appearance[]
Bai Qiu'en is a tall man with light tanned skin, medium brown hair and eyes, and wears glasses. Usually, he wears a blue dressing gown and sandals.
Personality[]
Bai Qiu En like his son, Bai Yuechu, loves money and food and would do almost anything for money, he captured his own son and gave him in to those that wanted him twice for money, however it is shown that he does desperate things like this, so he can pay for his living costs, as he is poor and doesn't appear to have a job, not just out of sheer greed.
However, Qiu En deep down cares for his son and told Tushan Yaya to end her fight with Bai Yuechu, he also wanted to give him his only possession, a temple, which Yuechu didn't want, he once said that he has to sell his son as a 'sacrifice' to preserve the Bai clan.
Like his son, he is a glutton. He shows his fondness for food when he steals Yuechu's (originally Susu's) candy and made a promise to Li Xue Yang's parents to get rid of the Sand Fox Fan Yunfei, in exchange for a payment of 50 servings of food.
He is also religious, being a Daoist and owning his own temple, and is quite knowledgeable about Spirits. He knew that the leftover sand at a scene came from Prince Fan Yun Fei, as he can wield sand.
