Beishan (北山), Northern Mountains, or Northridge is situated north of the human realm and Tushan. It is populated with Yaoguai. Shi Kuan is the emperor of Beishan and is referred to as Beishan Yaodi. He lives there with his wife Yuyao Princess.
Cities[]
- In the past, the Yuyao Kingdom was situated here. However, after a yaoguai uprising and Yuyao Princess freeing Shikuan and the yaoguai, Shikuan became the emperor of Beishan.
- Mutian City is also in the middle of the Beishan desert. Yueti Xia travels here to find a way to resurrect Hu Weisheng.
Climate[]
Besides frigid mountains, there are also hot arid deserts in Beishan, like the one surrounding Yuyao Kingdom and the one that Yueti Xia travels through[1]
Beishan may be based off China's northern region, which is home to the Gobi Desert (戈壁滩) and other mountain ranges.
