It was founded in 2010 by founder and president Xu Yi (徐逸).
Since 2014, Chen Rui has become CEO and chairperson of Bilibili.
Since 2019 and 2020, Bilibili has partnered with Sony to spread its anime streaming services throughout China and the USA.
