Tushan Honghong[]
Dongfang and Honghong.
His lady love, he respectfully calls her "Miss Spirit". They are a famous couple and their love is well known, though the legends seem to exaggerate it a bit. Honghong, while underneath deeply caring for Dongfang, on the surface is in denial and seems to push him off. In certain rare instances though she seems to soften up to him and express her true feelings. She affectionately refers to him a "Foolish Daoist".
Bai Yuechu[]
Bai Yuechu is the latest (the 5th) reincarnation of Dongfang Yuechu. He has occasional rare contact with Dongfang's spirit (such as when Dongfang instructed him and convinced him to let him take over to save Susu from Honghong's nightmare). Dongfang has explained that he does not believe it is possible for him to be properly reincarnated without also killing Bai Yuechu (or the current reincarnation) and does not truly wish to be reincarnated if that is the price. Uniquely Bai Yuechu body seems to contain each of his many reincarnations, which all exist as separate individuals/souls and seem to have all broken off from Dongfang's spirit and gained free will and existence on their own. This is unique to Yuechu and has never happened with others who have participated in the Pledge of Love.
Pingqiu Yuechu[]
Pingqiu was Dongfang's first incarnation. He was raised in a poor village and then discovered by Tushan and Yiqidao. He was raised in Tushan by Yaya. Once he developed enough spirit power, Yaya forced him to marry Susu and become Dongfang Yuechu. But Pingqiu did not like being forced into somebody he was not. So with the help of the San Shaoye, he escapes to Nanguo, where he meets Luolan. There the events of arc 6 pan out.
As Pingqiu was dying, the spirit of Dongfang Yuechu advises Luolan to go to the Kuqing Tree to make a Heart Oath.
Family[]
Mother[]
His mother is Dongfang Qinlan, sister of Dongfang Huaizhu, and carries the blood of the Dongfang Clan. She appears in arc 7 (when she was young), and some of her story is explained in arc 3. Qinlan witnessed Gold Fire God's plot to steal the Dongfang blood from for himself using the Blood Leech Technique. Alongside her sister Huaizhu, Qinlan changed her name and hid herself, seeking refuge in the Wangquan Family. There she perished leaving Dongfang Yuechu an orphan from a young age.
Father[]
His parents are long deceased. Little to nothing is known about his father at the present time. His father was a disciple of the Gold Fire God.
Dongfang Huaizhu[]
Dongfang Yuechu's aunt. She married into the Wangquan to avoid the clutches of the Gold Fire God and was forced to give up her own happiness and devote herself to producing an heir for the Wangquan family: Wangquan Fugui.
Wangquan Fugui[]
Dongfang's cousin, who he helps eventually free from his family and escape from his life of being only a tool to slaughter the enemies of the Wangquan family. They have a cordial relationship and Dongfang later entrusts Fugui with many important matters concerning the Yi Qi Dao League, especially after his death.
The Third Master of Aolai[]
Dongfang claims to be a pupil to the Third Master of Aolai and says he is grateful for his teachings and opening his eyes to the wider world and helping him to discover the Shadow Foxes. Their relationship seems somewhat uneasy, with Dongfang being somewhat deliberately unhelpful, and also seems to have a philosophical disagreement with Aolai. The Third Master of Aolai complains that his greetings are not sincere.
