Yueti is mugged by a rhino and gecko in Beishan. Later they return with their boss a stone golem to kidnap her, but Yueti defeats and traps their boss in vines and leaves for Mutian City.
She travels through the desert, finds an oasis, makes it through a sandstorm, and finally reaches Mutian.
There a fight breaks out between the following parties:
- giant camel yao,
- a lizard,
- a deer yao (古林鹿王恩特兄 Gulin Deer King Ente Brother),
- Du Niangzi and Madame Gai
Yueti avoids the fight and sends a tumbleweed to deliver a letter to the city baron (城主). The Baron responds asking to meet at midnight.
When they meet, she asks for how to revive Hu. The Baron responds by saying there is a simpler solution to reunite her with Hu--by sending her to the afterlife. The baron suddenly attacks her, saying she is an uninvited guest. Yueti is then forced to summon the Jungle Corrosion Flowers (雨淋腐蚀花).
