500 years ago, Wangquan Baye divided the Wangquan Clan into the Wang Clan and Quan Clan. Baye appointed his disciple Feng Tingyun as the head of the Quan Clan. Feng and the Quan Clan defended the border. She taught her disciples the legend of the Human Weapon, and so Quan Clan disciples worship Wangquan Fugui.
Wang Fugui takes advantage of this and uses the Dress Up Staff to transform into Wangquan Fugui's likeness and woo over one of the Quan clan fangirl disciples.
Back in the present, a shadow fox entered the gray eyed man, whose name is revealed to be Yang Mie. Yang struggling against the shadow fox draws out his purple glowing sword. But Madame Quan tells him to hold back. She has already confirmed from Wang Fugui's use of the Wangquan Will Blade that Wang is the true reincarnation of Wangquan Fugui.
Madame Quan then discusses with Wang Fugui's Dad and Wang Fugui Yeye that it is the sworn duty of the Quan Clan to train the reincarnation of Wangquan Fugui. Yang Mie will be in charge of helping Wang Fugui cultivate his Sword Dao.
Madame Quan then meets with Bai Yuechu and Susu and assigns them a new matchmaking task: to remove a shadow fox from a mysterious green-haired lady with 3 eyes (Cuiyu Mingluan). This shadow fox appears more intelligent as it hides once they enter the green-haired lady's room. Moreover there was a magic array (法阵) sealing the fox's powers.
Bai says he can do it--for a 20% bonus.
In a courtyard room, Wang meets with Qingtong, who has recovered from the poison from Nanguo. Yang Mie then calls for him to start training. The fangirl then barges into the room reminding Wang to take her out to see a movie that night. She starts to gush all over him, but Qingtong had enough and gets into a fight with her.
Wang having to deal with 3 people then says the best way to solve a crisis is to create another.
He challenges Yang to a sword duel, saying he drank 2 bottles of Kidney-Tonifying Decoction (补肾汤).
Meanwhile, Bai laughs at the action from the rooftoop, sitting alongside Susu and Cuiyu Mingluan. Bai says that Yang Mie is her pledged lover from centuries ago.
Cuiyu asks to bring out the This World No Hope Contract (此世无缘合同). She already knew that Yang was her pledged lover. Bai says there is only one way she could have knew without the Sacred Book: she bought off those 'earthworms' from the Huangquan Clan (黄泉族).
She says she cannot afford an inquiry from the Underworld (地府). She recognized Yang was the one because she recognized her spirit power when coming across him. That is because Yang used a Daoist art to return her Spirit Power.
Meanwhile, on the battlefield, Yang Mie bends Wang's will blade with a single slash. Cuiyu explains that Yang will be sent to defend the border.
Bai says there will be a 7 day period for the This World No Hope Contract. If Cuiyu does not change her mind in those 7 days, he will give her the contract.
Night falls. Yaya and Rongrong then investigate a crater, left behind by that 'old hag'. Yaya is informed that Bai was sent to handle Yueti Xia's mission. Rongrong then says that Bai had discovered some of the truth, but that he only scratched the surface, and there was much more in store.
