Susu is very surprised and nervous to be kissed (having only heard of such a thing from her sisters before). In actuality though, Bai Yuechu is writing a seal on Susu's forehead with his spit (since he is unable to use his hands). The Disaster Beast tried to stop him and the two are then bounced all around the room. The strange embrace and "kissing" causes Yuechu to start bleeding which allowed him to complete the seal on Susu's forehead with his blood. This causes Pure Yang Flames to burst out of Yuechu which drives away the Disaster Beast, while also igniting Susu and the building on fire.
Susu and Bai fall to the ground on fire. Strangely Susu's body seems to mature rapidly, and she seems much older. A piece of falling debris hits Yuechu on the head, and he drops Susu. He hurriedly looks around, trying to find her when he hears a woman's voice speaking directly to his mind and calling him "Foolish Daoist" (二货道士). However, when he looks for its source he finds only Susu standing there with her clothes slightly torn from her sudden growth earlier, but back to normal size.
Meanwhile the General and Prince's fighting is stopped by the intense blaze (destroying her Ice Spear) and she falls into the flames. Thinking she is about to die, she remembers a scene from her previous life falling into a similar blaze. She went alone to fight the Flame Medusa, something that her entire army was preparing to do together. She takes all but one of the Ice Jade Tablets (天罡寒玉) that her clan got from the Far North (极北之地). She uses the tablets to freeze seal Medusa, but because she was missing one, Medusa was able to melt away the ice and burn the Ice General.
Back to present, Fan Yunfei with one arm left holding the remnants of the ice spear leaps into the fire to try to save Li Xueyang.
