Honghong's kiss brings Yuechu to his senses, and in the presence of Honghong's mighty aura, escorts take away the Southern Princess Luolan and flee. Honghong expels the Disaster Beast possessing Yuechu telling him he is a Foolish Daoist (二货道士). He then tells Yaya the color red does not suit her before turning back into Susu.
Meanwhile Luolan and her escorts breathe a sigh of relief, and she is angry they didn't stay and fight. The Fox Spirits explain that Tushan Honghong is a far more terrifying figure than anyone they have ever come across and they had no choice but to run. A shadowy figure with glowing eyes, masked in a backdrop of stars, who is the organization's boss who has been helping Luolan is the same one who originally killed Dongfang Yuechu and caused the demise of Tushan Honghong.
Susu is given Honghong's clothes as a gift from Yaya. Bai Yuechu and the others are shown a play of Dongfang and Honghong's distant past. Because Dongfang did not believe Honghong they fell into the Shadow Empress' plan and both would die as a result.
Meanwhile Yaya, bathing in a sauna, remembers that last time she drank wine. She was confronting Dongfang Yuechu before Honghong and Dongfang's fated duel. She drank from her Endless Gourd to defeat Dongfang's two guards. Then Dongfang challenges her to a drinking challenge. Dongfang explained why he left Tushan--because he and Honghong shared a dream.
