After Fan Yunfei's secretary, Xiao Li, blames Susu for almost killing the Prince and his former lover, Bai Yuechu steps in to defend her promising to help Susu do her Matchmaking properly (though he claims it is just because she is a source of easy to get candy). Xiao Li accepts and takes the group back to a restaurant to explain the situation.
At the restaurant, Bai engages in a feast. Susu explains how Tushan Matchmaking works, how lovers make a Heart Oath at the Kuqing tree using a Fabao. Xiao Li then explains the Sand Spirits have been using magical Memory Mallets to try to restore Xueyang's missing memories of her past life. Yuechu steps in and begins hitting them on the head making Xueyang recall an early memory with the Sand Fox Prince.
In this flashback, she and Fan Yunfei work together to defeat the Fat Lady. After this, Li Xueyang falls in love with Fan because of his dashing looks and strength. She asks Fan why he loves her. However, Fan's dad the Fox Sand Emperor intervenes and brutally says that he needs Xueyang to marry Fan so that Fan can succeed the throne in the Western Regions. After this, Xueyang the Ice General storms off in rage.
Back in the restaurant, having remembered this, Xueyang becomes angry at Fan. Bai Qiuen appears having been hired by her parents to stop the Sand Fox Prince's following her around.
