Trapped within the dreamworld and having a continuous nightmare of the time she accidentally killed the Daoist assistant that saved her and Rongrong, Honghong sees an illusion of her savior who tells her she can redeem herself if she gives him her spirit power. Suddenly, Bai Yuechu and Rongrong appear in the dream and knock the fake "savior" away. He is revealed to be Zuoshi in disguise trying to steal Honghong's power, he is forced out of the dream world by Yuechu to escape the beating he is receiving. Rongrong then uses Hunian Zhishu (狐念之术 Fox reading technique) to immobilize her sister, and Yuechu begins hitting Honghong on the head with a memory mallet.
Back in reality, Zuoshi, having been kicked out of the dreamworld, begins gloating at Rongrong and Yuechu's immobility while they are in the dreamworld. But then Yaya appears to defend them, her wounds completely healed by Cuiyu Ling. Yaya and Rongrong discuss how Honghong is trapped in her old memory like what had happened before she met Dongfang.
Zuoshi orders his puppets Wang Fugui's dad and Wang Fugui Yeye to attack but they turn on him, having installed special Yiqidao seals the moment they entered Tushan. Zuoshi then orders Shi Kuan to attack Yaya. Shikuan's power is amplified as his body begins absorbing the excess spirit power in Tushan via the move Beidou Shenquan (北斗神券).
Yaya wonders if Honghong can forgive herself a second time (for killing the assistant). Back in the dreamworld the memory mallets do not work on Honghong until he complains that Dongfang should stop spouting nonsense and messing with other people's hearts.
This triggers Honghong to remember something in her own heart, and the scene flashes back to the past. Dongfang Yuechu has snuck into the Tushan archives and is researching how to propose to someone, reading on people's past love affairs using a Tianshu similar to the Chunai Tianpian. Rongrong catches him and demands to know why he has broken into the archive. Dongfang admits he wants to propose to her sister on the Qixi Festival (七夕 an Asian holiday for love) and wants to know where Honghong goes each year when she leaves Tushan. Rongrong hints that he should go to Shuangsheng Mountain nearby because there is something special there...
