Tushan Yaya calls Susu and Bai Yuechu to teach them about Tushan's enemies who are also Fox Spirits.
Meanwhile Elder Tong is rejected by his reincarnated lover and learns that she is currently infatuated with a handsome young man who is an agent of the Shadow Foxes, ancient enemies of Tushan. They specialize with interfering with love beyond death and steal Spirit Power from those who made the Pledge of Love.
He learns that his lover has been repeatedly stolen by one of the Shadow Fox generals, Yan Ruyu, the Thousand Face Charmer. He is a master shapeshifter and can make himself appear to look like whatever he looks like. He has been breaking many relationships and cucking many yaoguai by stealing their reincarnated lovers and their yaoli, shapeshifting into several handsome men, able to change his appearance after making a mistake and thus start anew.
Some of the rejected cucked yaoguai beg Yan Ruyu to stop since they have been waiting so long to reunite with their past lovers. A fight ensues and Bai Yuechu appears, having been pigging out in the restaurant earlier. Yan Ruyu tries to trap him in a gold tower, but Bai eats his way out using Tunshi Qingli and proceeds to wreck him and his summoned Ehuishou. Yan remembers too late the rumors of Tushan's powerful new "Son-in-Law" who has taken care of half of the matchmaking assignments in Tushan within the last year. After being knocked out of the building, Yan reveals he has a paper (a list of names) that will allow him to become even more powerful and get revenge on Bai. Meanwhile Bai is currently being captured by the Spirit Police for skipping classes after having been sold out by Susu.
