Trembling, Miss Wen asks her captors who they are and they inform her they are recently escaped prisoners from the Yiqidao League's Huntian Prison. They inform her that 300 years ago, her past self was responsible for putting them in prison, so they will not free her. The leader Chilei tells the 2nd in command Jumu, the tiger spirit, to lock her in a cave at the top of the mountain.
The tiger takes her away and then at the last second, heads away from the cave to escape carrying the girl with him. She realizes he smells like Yan Ruyu and that he morphed into the tiger spirit. They are then cornered by the gang of criminals who have realized Yan is an imposter trying to spirit away the girl. Meanwhile Yan's minions look on through a telescope, saying the criminal gang must be the infamous Chisha Modao, whose members are: Xuezang the mouse, Yemei the ocelot, Jumu the tiger, and Chilei the dragon.
Yan attempts to sweet-talk the gang and pretends to remember who they are, but it backfires and Chi Lei says it is all his fault they went to prison and calls him the "seducer of the female bailiff". He tries to run away, but Chi Lei is nimble despite his fat appearance and catches them. Chilei tells Yan that they won't kill them yet until tonight.
In the jail cell, Miss Wen praises Yan Ruyu for helping her and says she has another plan. He has another flashback that makes him feel happy and warm. Yemei, hears the captive girl begin screaming and witnesses her boyfriend, Xuezang climbing on top of her about to take advantage of her, saying he has gotten tired of his old woman. Yemei rushes in to beat up Xuezang but then realizes she has been tricked, and it is just Yan disguised reading from the Wen's script. They knock Yemei out of the mountain and flee. Yan then has another brief deja vu flashback moment as Wen is talking to him.
Meanwhile the bandits realize they have escaped, but are not worried since they have other escaped prisoners working for them throughout the mountain area that will help them recapture them when given the signal from Chi Lei. Despite giving the signal, the Chi Lei gets no reply as lots of time goes by. It is revealed that Bai Yuechu has been beating up Chilei's bandits under Boss Rongrong's supervision. Rongrong is standing with Bai and Susu, saying that Yan was her only disciple, so she is deeply interested in Yan's fate.
