The young Qingtong uses her detoxifying spider silk to protect Wang Fugui from the poison. Venom Widow recognizes Qingtong and reveals her past: 600 years ago, her husband was killed by the Wangquan Clan so she swore revenge. She bred many slaves including young Qingtong Slave #12580 and used her to spy on the Wang family. This is when Qingtong met Wangquan Fugui.
Wang Fugui then reveals himself to be the reincarnation of Wangquan Fugui, and Venom Widow laughs, thanking the heavens for making the reincarnation so weak. Wang Fugui uses his Divine Seal (正神化身符) summoning several divine warriors to attack the widow, but she uses a love poison to make them infatuated with her. Venom Widow is about to attack Wang Fugui with a fatal blow, but Qingtong jumps in saying she wants to prove herself to Fugui and save him once more.
Fugui has another flashback: when Qingtong, Wangquan Fugui, and Dongfang Yuechu ran away together, they found a small cottage for residence. They ask Yuechu who was the fox woman who killed 500 of the Yiqidao soldiers (after the flashback events of Season 2). Yuechu hesitates on how to introduce his child groom Honghong.
Qingtong makes some nice Matsutake soup. However, Yuechu's stomach gets upset and he needs to flee to relieve himself. While Yuechu is away, the Venom Widow then tracks down Fugui and attacks him at the small cottage. Qingtong begged her not to kill Fugui as he was not responsible for killing her husband. But Venom Widow says it was thanks to her slave and ace Qingtong that she was able to see through Yuechu's barrier spell and locate Qingtong.
