Lü Jianwen (律笺文), the Lady Cop or Lady Bailiff, is a Yaoguai catcher in and Yan Ruyu's true love. She is a human from the Far West Regions with an incredible sense of smell and can sense right through Yan's disguises.

She is also referred to as Miss Wen. In her reincarnated life, she is a playwright.

Appearance[]

Lv is a brunette with brown eyes, wearing a long red dress.

In her past life, when young she had a big pig-like nose that others made fun of. Grown up, her nose became normal sized.

In present, as a director she wears a red shirt with a giant 捕 character on her chest. 捕 Bu means bailiff or cop.

Donghua[]

She invites Yan to see the play she is directing. Yan initially calls her his worst enemy since she always see through his guises. He only agrees to woo her so that he can steal her spirit energy.

At that time, she has been dating Xuezang for a week. However, Yan exposes that Xuezang was cheating on her by kissing Yemei. Caught, Xuezang and Yemei capture Lv and send her to the Chisha Modao hideout. Yan then rescues her using his shapeshifting powers. However as they escape and sun sets, Yan's true form is revealed, and Lv asks why he chose to save her today? It is part of Rongrong's plan to reunite the two lovers from their past life. With Bai and Susu's help, the Heihu and hatred inside Yan is purged, and they remember their past.

Past Life[]

In her past life, she worked as a police woman who caught unruly humans and yaoguai alike. She became the first police woman of the Yiqidao League Spirit Police department after killing the Flame Medusa.

Yan once saved her from Chilei of the Chisha Modao. Later, she arrested Yan for using his shapeshifting powers to steal and defile girls. However, Yan was trying to impress her.

She goes to confront Chilei herself but is over-powered, and Yan saves her again. But she still arrests him. However, she takes him to the Kuqing Tree to make a secret Heart Oath because deep down, though she must abide by the law, she thanks him for saving her and wishes to see him in her next life if his prison sentence is too long.

In Chinese pinyin, Lü is usually spelled and inputted as Lv if one cannot type the ü character.

She is also referred to as 'Miss Wen' (小文), which is more natural in English orthography.
