Different Humans and Spirits each have their own habitats and nations. Weaker Spirits will rely on the stronger Spirits and sometimes the human race too. There are a total of five big nations belonging to the Spirit and human race. Most Spirits belong to the Spirit Union, and many humans are part of the Yi Qi Dao League.

Tushan[]
Their main objective is reincarnation and matchmaking between Spirit and human couples. Tushan Yaya is their current leader. The city is located in a beautiful mountain region and also offers a luxurious resort for visitors who pay the entree fee.
Sand Fox City[]
Sand Fox City is located in the Far West Regions, and Fan Yunfei lives is their capital city. In the dry and barren desert, they are known for not being defeated.
Beishan[]
Shi Kuan is the king of Beishan. The kingdom called Yuyao Guo used to be here. It was once ruled by humans who enslaved yaoguai via special binding charms (Zimu Fu). Later they were freed by the human Yuyao Princess who gave the secret of the charms to Shi Kuan. (Arc 4)
Nanguo[]
Nanguo or the Southern Borderlands: This country located to the far South is ruled by the Poison King, Huandu Qingtian and his daughter Huandu Luolan. It is very deadly and full of several different types of plants and creatures which produce deadly venom. Visitors must take proper cautions to avoid being poisoned. (Arc 6)
Yi Qi Dao League[]
A political organization of Daoists that protects and governs most of humanity. Several legendary Daoists have been a part of the League including Wangquan Fugui. However, at the present there are not very many strong individuals.
Aolai[]
A mysterious island to the East, they are ruled by a monkey-like yaoguai known as the First Master of Aolai. They rarely interfere with the outside world and as a result not much is known about their nation, but they are extremely powerful and produce potent medicine and tonics. They are friendly with Tushan and seem to have taught Dongfang Yuechu and some of his reincarnations. The Third Master of Aolai seems to have been involved in some schemes with Dongfang and is more actively involved than his sister or brother. He seems to have taught Dongfang about the existence of the Shadow Fox Empress and clearly opposes her.
