Pingqiu Yuechu (平丘月初) is Dongfang Yuechu's first reincarnation (Bai Yuechu being the 5th reincarnation). Pingqiu was not in love with Tushan Susu, so he fled to Nanguo where he fell in love with Huandu Luolan instead.
His spirit lives on and was found in Bai's body, until purged at the end of Nanguo Arc.[1]
Appearance[]
He has white hair and wears all white. Otherwise he looks exactly like Bai Yuechu and Dongfang Yuechu.
Personality[]
He is happy-go-lucky and carefree like the other Yuechu incarnations. However, he seems to lack as much spirit power as Dongfang or Bai.
Whereas Bai is a glutton that loves food, Pingqiu is in puberty (青春期) and loves beautiful women, sometimes unable to help himself from kissing or hugging--especially Luolan.
Donghua[]
His romance with Luolan starts in Episode 75.
Pingqiu was Dongfang's first incarnation. He was born in a poor village and then discovered by Tushan and the Yiqidao League. He was raised by Yaya and Rongrong in Tushan, living a comfortable life. Once he developed enough spirit power, Yaya forced him to marry Susu and become Dongfang Yuechu. But Pingqiu did not like being forced into somebody he was not. So with the help of the San Shaoye, he escapes to Nanguo, where he meets Luolan. There the events of Season 5 pan out.
Passionate kiss between Luolan and Pingqiu
He first meets Luolan as she was losing control of the Venom Body, saving her by kissing him. He is taken back to Nanguo, where Huandu Qingtian transfers his poison powers to Pingqiu before a rebellion arises. Xiao Wangye leads a coup, and Pingqiu helps save Luolan using his Xukong Zhilei, nearly sacrificing his life and eyesight. As they are about to be overpowered by Wangye, the Tushan sisters Yaya and Rongrong appear, helping quell the uprising.
As Pingqiu is dying, the spirit of Dongfang Yuechu advises Luolan to go to the Kuqing Tree to make a Heart Oath.
Back in present, Luolan tries to use Bai Yuechu's body to revive Pingqiu with the Love Gu. She is ultimately unable to, but since Pingqiu's soul had been separated from Bai's body, there is hope that in the future, Pingqiu will reincarnate as an independent soul from Bai / Dongfang, thereby giving Luolan hope.
