Shadow Fox Empress (Chinese: 黑狐女王 Heihu Nüwang) is the primary antagonist of the series.
She is the leader of the Shadow Foxes and opposes the Tushan Fox Spirit Matchmakers at every turn. Her agents, the Black Foxes, sometimes referred to as the Love Breakers, work to steal spirit power from reincarnated couples like spiritual parasites.
Name[]
She is also referred to as Shadow Fox Lady (Chinese: 黑狐娘娘 Heihu Niangniang, "Black Fox Lady"). Sometimes, for abbreviation she is referred to as Heihu Empress, Heihu Queen, or Heihu Lady.
Personality[]
She is a master of subterfuge and underhanded tactics. She frequently lies and misleads her victims in order to make them vulnerable to suggestions to leverage them for her own purposes, almost always at their expense.
She is indirectly responsible for tricking Dongfang Yuechu and Tushan Honghong causing his eventual demise and her regression into Susu's form. She is also vindictive against Yuechu and Honghong and has stated she plans to make them repeat their mistake again.
Her primary goal is to obtain the Tear Void to become the most powerful being in the entire world and make all kingdoms worship her. However, she has plotted and schemed for hundreds of years, but still has not obtained it from Yuechu.
Appearance[]
She often appears as a wall of stars against a night sky backdrop, with only a pair of slit eyes and a mouth as features. When revealed in greater detail she has the definite outline of a human-like fox spirit with long bangs and large breasts. The Empress's true form appears as a tall, attractive Shadow Fox Spirit. She is normally veiled in a drape of dark nebula and stars and uses this to hide her appearance and identity. When revealed and exposed by the golden light of Aolai she is seen to have violet eyes and eyebrows and a pale white face. She is described as a beauty and a thief by the Third Master of Aolai.
Abilities[]
She is very confident and cocky against most of her enemies, but still fears a few very powerful beings such as the Third Master of Aolai and Tushan Yaya. While she is very capable in combat herself and resilient (able to even withstand a barrage of Void Tears flung at her by Tushan Honghong), she much prefers sneaking around and backstabbing people. This is especially illustrated when she attempted to attack the Third Master of Aolai while he was distracted.
At this time, it is unknown what other kinds of abilities she has, though Tushan Yaya has stated that she is comparably weak in combat because she has focused so much on subterfuge and hiding.
She often prefers to send her minions like the 3-tailed Heiyao or 6-tailed Heimo to possess and manipulate targets like Shi Kuan, Yan Ruyu, and Luolan.
