- He once ate the poisonous butterfly dipper dark papilio (七星冥凤蝶) without flinching. People then wondered if he was from Guangdong, South China, since some of the more exotic cuisine there includes bugs and insects.
- He specializes in guqin (古琴), an ancient Chinese stringed instrument. See here for a music sample.
- He invented the technique called Sonic Venom and uses his guqin to transmit the Sonic Venom.
- He can also use his guqin to cast Immortal Chessboard (神仙棋), which speeds up time, causing tree leaves to fall faster, the sun to set quicker, and days to pass by in what feels like seconds.
