Wangquan Clan was a legendary powerful Daoist clan that existed 600 years ago. It was headed by the powerful Wangquan Baye and his son Wangquan Fugui. It is also known as the land of the Tiandi Yijian or Wangquan Blade.
Later, it split becoming the Wang Clan and Quan Clan.
Its base was located in Huangfeng City (黄凤城).[1]
Wang-Quan split[]
After Baye and the Masked Daoists traveled to the frontier, they were nearly all killed by Shadow Foxes. Only Baye managed to escape alive.
One day, Dongfang Yuechu asked to borrow the Wangquan Blade to slay some Heihu. Baye allows him.
Then Wangquan Fugui returns to the estate having slain a heihu with the Wangquan blade. Baye then laughs with join and begins writing the 'Records Beyond the Border' (《圈外经》Quanwai Jing), detailing his stories on what lies at the frontier of the known world.
From that day, Baye proclaimed that Wangquan would split into the Wang Clan and Quan Clan, with Wang living in the interior and Quan living at the border.[2]
以后内地为王 边塞为权
Baye explained that since he gave the Wangquan blade away to his son Fugui, there was no need for Wangquan to exist anymore. Baye proclaimed the Wangquan head sister shimei (师妹) to be leader of the Quan Clan.
