Season 7 (Arc 8) is about the love between Hu Weisheng and Yueti Xia.
Episode 102[]
Bai Yuechu chats with his bestie Hu Weisheng again. Susu arrives on Tutu again. However, Bai is pissed since he did not receive any bonus for completing his mission in Nanguo. He storms off to Tushan to confront Rongrong, as Yaya has left temporarily for her own mission.
Rongrong explains that his bonus was used to cover the cost of travel to Nanguo and destroying property. She also warns Bai not to flatter himself. While he did take on two of the Four Yaoguai Emperors, all his missions were low-level, and all he did was restore people's memories. Bai has not yet taken on the most difficult matchmaking challenges. She then assigns him his next mission: Hu Weisheng and Yueti Xia.
Bai successfully kidnaps Hu from a supermarket and forces him to meet Yue, but Hu is not feeling it.
Meanwhile, a donkey spirit (Azhu) and two bug spirits (one fat with brown hair named Xiao Fang, the other with green hair and blue skin) seem to be tussling with each other. However, Bai reports the two yaoguai to the police for stealing food in the market.
Episode 103[]
Bai tries to use Memory Hammers on Hu and Yue, but Hu gets enraged and summons a giant beanstalk to escape. A flashback then explains the first time Hu, a lumberer, met Yue and her donkey Azhu in the forest, as well as the first time he proposed to her for a date.
Episode 104[]
Hu and Yueti Xia make a Heart Oath, but the catch was that they could only meet in the afterlife since Yueti's clan strongly opposed human-yao intermarriage. Devastated, Hu tries to elope with Xia but ends up drowning in a flood waiting for Xia to arrive. But Xia never showed up.
Episode 105[]
Yueti travels to Mutian City to try to revive Hu.
Episode 106[]
Yueti meets the Mutian Baron to revive Hu.
Episode 107[]
A veiled person suddenly attacks Yueti, but she escapes with the help of Fan Yunfei and Azhu. In present, the two bug spirits arrive to reveal the Yueti's dark secret.
Episode 108[]
Hu reveals on his back a tree bark 'birthmark'. Yueti reveals that it is not a birthmark but actually their pledge fabao called the Seven Treasure Tree Bark (七宝妙树皮).
Yueti then pours water on herself and transforms into a tree like Hu.
Yueti's mom arrives and reveals that the day Hu drowned was actually raining and a full moon. Yueti had turned into a tree, and Hu grabbed on to that tree to avoid drowning in the flood.
The reason Xia did not say this earlier is because she was afraid that Hu hated trees since he loved to cut down trees as a lumber. But when Hu learns the truth, he vows to Xia that he will never cut down trees again.
Suddenly, Xiao Fang and the other bug beast grow to godzilla size, but Bai easily dispatches them.
The bugs then explain that the Yueti Clan used a pesticide that nearly wiped out the forest Bug Clan. Xia is confused, but when her mom gives her her favorite perfume, the bugs become enervated. Apparently, Xia's perfume contains pesticide!
So Xia promises to use non-pesticide perfume from now on. Fang and the other bug become heroes of the Bug Clan. Weisheng and Xia open their own flower shop (尾大森林连锁花点 Weida Woods Chain Flower Shop, Weida sounds like 'great' in Chinese and is a pun on Weisheng's name).
The fabao returns to Xia, and Hu becomes bareback, and they live happily ever after.
Meanwhile, a mysterious woman (Madame Quan) talks with Wang Fugui Yeye and hears that Wangquan Fugui's reincarnation has appeared. Wang Fugui then reveals himself, transforming into the likeness of Wangquan Fugui using the Dress Up Staff. However, Quan and one of her grey-eyed accomplices (Yang Mie) is unimpressed. Even when Fugui shows his Wangquan Will Blade, they easily cut him down to size.
